Bets wrote Can it get you console banned? I really wanna know. Or any other type of ban?

To DDoS a game you arent just doing it to the game through your console. You would have to find out what server you are connected to in the game and then on your computer you would DDoS the server.

A DDoS attack is illegal. Do you think after Sony were DDoS attacked they just said "oh it's legal. They can keep doing it". It's illegal and is classed as a cyber attack which can lead up to 3 years in prison dependant on the severity.

-Misaki wrote To put it simply, no. There's no way to trace an attacking IP, and even IF they did have a way, anyone who even remotely knows what they are doing will have spoofed servers. The flood will use spoofed a IP and any ping trace would lead to the (dead) spoofed IP. There's no way for Microsoft or Sony or anyone else to identify you as the person flooding the lobby (unless you're using your own connection to flood the lobby, which wouldn't even work anyway, so nothing will happen to you

Wrong, there are many techniques; An example of which could be analyzing entropy variation.
It's kind of the reason why so many script kiddies thinking they know everything are getting caught DDOS'ing large corporations.

Microsoft can't do anything when the ddos attack is targeted on an individual as they have no way of logging the packets.

Ddosing is illegal, I personally wouldn't recommend doing it.
It's not worth it.

Exactly, most people DDOS'ing on Xbox are skids. They don't know anything about it and just buy botnets and act like "0mgz 1M a h4x0rzz l33t".

If you don't know what you are doing, don't do it.
Someone with knowledge can easily D0X you and screw you over.
