No that was definitely done in C4D or some other 3D modeling program.

No that was definitely done in C4D or some other 3D modeling program.
I was JUST about to say the same thing. I feel that this was made in Cinema 4D as that is what the majority of the users that 3D model on this site use.

Could've been easily done with splines in Cinema 4D... The colors could've also be applied in Cinema 4D by selecting specific segments, but I assume Photoshop was used to really make the colors pop. Possibly even matrix extruding segments further back in the logo, to to just make the arms come out, and doing a little sculpting to give them the desired look.

the tentacle effect is done of Cinema 4d with a plugin named Kurulumun (or something like that) cheers man
