You're going to want a new GPU to help play games better. You're going to need a new motherboard, whether you get an FX-8320 or a Pentium or an i5. This would mean the G3258 is your best route and an upgrade to an i7 would be beneficial in the future. The Pentium is a fantastic CPU for its price and within your budget, the best option. You may also need a new PSU, depending on what you have in your build right now.

I'm not going to argue that you should change your case since it's best not to at this time, however the Zalman Z9 isn't a particularly "good" case. Though, it's not terrible.

If you decide to keep the Antec unit, you could get a GTX 770 instead of an R9 280x, specifically this one;

Get this system, the dual core is more than enough for most games and from my experience, when overclocked its a steal at forty quid. You can use all these parts with your current power supply as its good quality anyway, and you ahould put the SSD you don't use in your new system.

I know I put my budget as 350 but say I could get a i5 or fx or of course pentium, what would you reccomed? I CAN afford all three and would spend a bit more to not have to upgrade in the future. So basically for gaming what's the best for the money? Will the pentium preform as good as the fx? Will the fx preform as good as the 4670k? Yeah a new motherboard is fine I suppose.

Yeah I'm happy with the zeal man for the moment, it has nice cable management and looks ok.

I think if I go amd then I get r9 but if I get Intel then gtx. Do you think that matters?

Edit: sorry I never saw the second post . Ok I wasn't sure if 2 cores would be enough. What are you running yours at? Will my corsair h60 be ok? It's good and I could swap in 2 sp120s?

Pentium will be fine for most games, I use mine for BF4 with no issues whatsoever. Both the Pentium and i5 will have better single core performance so i'd suggest one of those and rule out the FX altogether.

If you were to get the Pentium, then you'd be able to upgrade to an i5 in the future without changing anything else. I'd honestly suggest the G3258 Pentium just from my own experience due to its performance and price.

It doesn't matter which brand of graphics you get for whichever processor you choose. Any brand will work with any processor.

Your current PSU is good for now. You can upgrade if you wish but I personally wouldn't bother. I agree with everything Buxtyy has already said, rule out an AMD CPU entirely. A newmotherboard will be required for an upgrade, regardless. For an FX series CPU, you'd need an AM3+ motherboard and for Intel, you're going to need an LGA1150. You're current motherboard is FM1 so is incompatible with both Intel CPU's and AMD's FX series. The 4670k would be a bad purchase since the 4690k has better temps for around the same price. If you go with an i5 and overclock, you're going to want an aftermarket CPU cooler to keep the temperature at a minimum. However, with the G3258, you canoverclock pretty well on the stock cooler. Both AMD and NVIDIA cards work with any CPU. A GTX 770 is slightly more powerful than the R9 280X but costs a bit more. I'd recommend the GTX 770 since its within your budget but the R9 280X is also a fantastic card.

I run my G3258 at 4.2Ghz however at its stock speeds it ran perfectly fine. Your H60 would be okay with its stock config, I use a small 90mm cooler and thats fine for me, hence the two cores you really don't need a high end cooling solution.

Yeah i would love 4.2ghz lol. Would I manageoverclocking with h60? Where to?Would a 2TB red wd hhd be ok? Or blue in raid?

How are my monitors? They look good but idk spec wise.

Yeah the H60 would be alright if you've already got it, but i wouldn't buy one just for the Pentium.

For hard drives? Any 2TB will do, I prefer one drive with the larger capacity as its simpler and as you'll use an SSD for your OS then you won't need the RAID speed improvement.

What mobo would you recommend? Should it be z87 or z97 ? I was originally looking at MSI g45 (87). Should I go z97? Future proof it? I was also thinking about gigabyte b85 budget board, or no?
