I'm on iOS 1.2 - is that the right update software or do I need to down grade

Also what does "backup mean "


My final question do I need need to make a new iTunes account

Wait, your firmware is 1.2 or 7.1.2? If it's 7.1.2, you can jailbreak it using pangu.
Back up is to back up all of the data on your phone to iTunes in case something goes wrong. And I don't see why you need a new iTunes account if you already have one.

Can you take a screen shot showing that you're on 1.1.2? I've never seen an iPhone 4 that has that low of a firmware. Also, it's always good to back up your phone.

When I go onto pangu it says "ERROR could not find iTunes on your computer"

Do I have to download I tunes or something
