Am I the only one who is getting a little bored with destiny? It's the same thing over and over. You kill a group of enemies, deploy your ghost, kill 1-3 waves, ghost talks, mission over.

Ya I wish the campaign had a story like halo 3 and was open world like skyrim or borderlands. I also wish that my tyrion lannister robot wasn't annoying as ****.

Then go play Crucible. Maybe the campaign isn't for you.

It's pretty rare to see someone complaining about an FPS game's story mode.

He is right tho the story isn't great in Destiny and if someone wanted a game for a good story then Destiny is not it.

i don't really understand the hate. Every FPS has the same gameplay in the story mode. Take Cod for example. You run forwards for about a minute, then a cutscene and then you shoot hundreds of guys. You move forward and repeat. Hell i'm going to summarize a ton of games so you can realize how repetitive they all are.
Borderlands; Run forward, speak to someone, shoot a bunch of guys. Kill a boss. Pickup a relic. return back. repeat.
Cod; Run, Shoot, Run, Shoot, Crouch, Shoot, Snipe, run, Shoot etc.
BF4; Run, Sneak, shoot, cutscene, helicopter falls down, shoot more guys, repeat.
Gears Of War; Run forward, Kill waves of enemies. Big dramatic cutscene. Run forward, kill waves of enemies, repeat.
Halo; Run forward, Kill aliens, kill mutant things. run forward. drive a car somewhere, get out and kill things. epic cutscene, repeat.
GTA; Go to certain place, Kill people, return to speak to someone. repeat.
Crackdown; go somewhere, blow shit up, repeat.
Serious Sam; Run forward, kill a bunch of alien things, kill a giant boss thing. repeat.
Tom Clancy Games; Sneak into base, Kill people, sneak some more, kill more people, repeat.
Hitman; Sneak somewhere, kill person. repeat.
Splinter cell; sneak somewhere, kill person/people. repeat.
You see what i mean? and now for some reason people seem to think Destiny is the worst for repetition. Like have any of you played call of duty? that's the worst for repetition. Anyway, there is far more to the game than just the story mode. You can go on patrol and do regular 'events' on certain planets. You can go play pvp. you can grind points on strike missions etc. But saying Destiny is the same shit over and over? Yeah. But have you seen all of the other games out there?
EDIT; To be honest that comment came across like i'm some butt hurt fanboy, that's not the case. i'm just trying to make the point that the majority of games are repetitive. It's what you do that makes them feel repetitive.

It seems extremely repetitive, even for an mmo. Any the story might end up being good it's just that they shouldn't be threading us along with the content IMO. I makes me just want to quit playing it for a year and then come back to it after they add the content we have all payed for. Oh well nothing we can do, at least the first raid is coming out soon. (Also who read that wall of words venom wrote? Anyone?)

Yeah many FPS campaigns games are repetitive, what keeps us coming back for more is the challenge they bring us. But if it's too hard we run away ... anyways basically what everyone else said about the repetition of events in FPS.

Firstly, lets get the facts straight that this game is NOT an MMO. Bungie even confirmed that. Now, back on topic. Yes the campaign seems receptive, and it was also very short for those of you who finished. This is for a few reasons.
If you look at Bungie's "Special Events" then you will see lots of upcoming missions, 1 in particular for Queen Reef. The game is supposed to evolve as it gets older.
Also, there are a LOT of cliffhangers throughout the game, which makes me think Destiny is more of an introduction. Remember how the game case says it requires 40gb? We only downloaded 18...
