U.S. Kills Leader of ISIS in Libya
A day after reportedly killing "Jihadi John" in Syria, the Pentagon announced it killed the top ISIS operative in Libya, Wisam al Zubaidi.
The Pentagon announced Saturday a U.S. airstrike killed the leader of ISIS in Libya Abu Nabil, aka Wissam Najm Abd Zayd al Zubaydi.
The announcement confirms The Daily Beast's original report that the U.S. targeted a senior member of the group on Friday, according to two senior U.S. administration officials.
The strike, which was carried out by F-15 aircraft, marks the first time the U.S. has directly gone after ISIS outside of Iraq or Syria.
The strike hit Wisam al Zubaidi, a.k.a. Abu Nabil al Anbarian, an Iraqi national who once led al Qaeda operations in part of Iraq.At some point after that, he moved to eastern Libya to lead ISIS operations there.

Putin set to send 150,000 Russian troops to deal with Islamic State.
The Russian leader is reportedly mounting an enormous military mission to take control of the terror group's stronghold of Raqqa.
The city is the self-declared capital of ISIS in Syria and is patrolled by as many as 5,000 jihadi members.
Putin is set to mobilise 150,000 reservists who he conscripted into the military earlier this week.

Everyone is too busy with Paris they didn't notice that Islamic State bombed the city of Lebanon yesterday.
Please share this as I would like others to get the same amount of media attention as Paris did.
Muslim countries will never get the attention of the world...nobody cares sadly.

Don't know what he's hoping to achieve here. You can't beat terrorism. The Paris attacks highlighted a change of tactics from Islamic state, similar to the tactics used by Al Qaeda when they were on the defensive in the early 00's. ISIS know they are struggling with the battle in their home countries, like Syria, therefore in order for the group to recruit more people they need an aura of invincibility around them, which means they will start telling fellow foreign jihads to start carrying out more attacks.
Also everyone seems to think that getting rid of IS will get rid of extremism, which it won't, as they forget about all the other extremists groups out there like Al Qaeda and Al Nusra who battle each other, and also forget that IS isn't just in the Middle East, it's in large areas of Africa as well.
When will people wake up and realise that bombing and invading countries DOES NOT work. (None of that was aimed at you, I just felt like getting that out there)

Couldn't agree more buddy. Kind of hard for anyone to wipe out IS they'll be here for a long time, brainwashing people telling them it's the right thing to do for Allah. They also have French terrorists and I believe anyway the attacked France to recruit French terrorists as France has a lot of strong Muslims who fight for what they believe in.
I heard someone say the other day, why should we care about other countries like Iraq this stuff happens all the time!! I was outraged as when the US tried to bomb Iraq they killed a lot of civilians. People seem to think Iraq etc is just full of terrorists, when it isn't civilians still live there.

The bombing of innocent civilians is exactly why extremism flourish. For example a bomb doesn't generalise between the good people and the terrorists, it just blows up anything in its path. So with a bomb you might kill 1 terrorist but kill 20 civilians as well at the same time.
I mean put yourself in the feet of a young kid growing up in somewhere like Iraq or Syria. All you see everyday is bombs flattening cities and fighting occurring and your parents say it's due to the "political beliefs of western nations". You're gonna be confused and will question why it's occurring. Then along comes an extremist group and they radicalise you to hate the west and attack the west in name of retaliation to the west continuously bombing your country. They radicalise you so much that you literally believe bombing others is a good thing and will die for your cause. This is what goes on.
These young people are brought up to believe that they should hate the west, and whilst I condemn terrorism and am against it, if you put yourself in the feet of these young people you can kind of understand why they hate the west, if all you see is bombing everyday which might kill your family or friends for something you don't believe in.

It's always going to be a constant merry go round that's the problem. Extremism will never stop, even if islamic countries were never harmed again, there would still be terrorists. Nothing will deter them, it is not just airstrikes and troops that encourage extremism.
So although I disagree with recent airstrikes and troops etc, it is our best option, we cannot sit back and watch because these attacks will continue to happen. Their aim is to strike fear into us, we need to fight otherwise they will be on top.
Unfortunately it will never end because generations will continue to form whose parents were killed either by the west or the east, which in turn will encourage terrorism in the east, and encourage those in the west to fight it.

B-2 wrote Its sad that a force so powerful challenges people who are weak. Targeting places with no real security and people who cant defend themselves, they must feel really tough.
They don't care about how tough they look. They're doing whatever they're trying to accomplish right, and that's cause terror. Honestly, I'm afraid of them, we don't know just how powerful and big they actually are.
