Just plug your phone into your computer and download the update from iTunes.

if your like me, you may be using ios 7.1.1 instead of 7.1.2, if this is the case, update your ios version to ios 7.1.2 and then it should just come up on the update tab in your settings saying something along the lines that apple is verifying your request for ios 8.0, m is currently downloading and has about 5 hours left on it, just so you know it takes a long time to download the update. Also last thing i have to say is, really think over whether you really want the new update because it seems almost no one is satisfied with the update due to tons of bugs. anyways i hope i helped, hopefully it isnt too buggy, btw sorry for the long response, i didnt really feel like shortening it up, best of luck

The over the air updates are going to be the last possible way to get this update as they are getting so many requests for this software. Just plug up your device and update your phone through your computer. It will be much faster that way.
