I'm having a problem with my RGH Console. I recently tried installing Neighbour hood , and I moved the plugin into the root of the HD. I then powered off my Xbox. When I turned it on, I got a solid red light and the E71 Error. I took the HD out of my RGH (Slim) and started up my Xbox. It turned on normally. I heard I messed my dashboard up or something. I tried searching how to fix it and I got one thread here that said to hold the eject button while powering on or even the sync. It still comes up red. Not to sure if I'm doing it wrong or if that method doesn't work. I got told to try plugging a SATA Cable from my HD to my laptop and removing default.xex and launch.ini files off the root of hard drive. I went out and bought a "USB 2.0 to IDE SATA adapter." I'll try to include a picture. Whenever I try using this, nothing comes up. My HD doesn't come up on my computer. Do I have to install another program? Is there any other method to fix this E71 error?

Bypass your plugins when your console boots (power on the console and as soon as the first LED flashes when the console is booting to dash press and hold the eject button for about 5 seconds)

Then remove the plugin.

Whenever you try to use xbdm you always need to have another plugin after it. If you use xbdm as your only plugin it'll give you E71 error.

You have a transfer cable, so all you have to do is open the launch.ini file on your computer and find where it says "plugin1 = Hdd:\xbdm.xex" and remove everything in that line after the equals sign.

I'll defiantly try that , but for the xbdm.xex plugin, I was watching a tutorial on how to do this (I'm a Newb at this) and he didn't have any other plugins. So do I just put any old plugin with xbdm.xex ? If so, any you could recommend to put in? Will neighbourhood still work with another plugin. I apologize for the Newb questions. Thanks!

You can try above or hook that usb thing up to your pc with your HDD from your Xbox.
Then using Horizon to explore the files on the HDD and delete the INI.

I'll defiantly do that. Is it a corrupt file that is causing this? Because the xbdm file I downloaded was the only one I could find online. Couldn't find any other xbdm downloads.
