emmm the other guy is wrong.
It is a switch, which allows you to connect your internet into 1 port by ethernet cable. It can then share that internet connection with any other devices that you connect to the other 4 free ports.

So what your saying is that i can take a ethernet cord put it in my router or modem then put it into this switch then put other ethernet cords into this switch to get my own connection ?

Its like a audio jack splitter but for ethernet cables
