Yes my phone is jailbroken and I need to fix this error so I can update to iOS8.

If you can help me by telling me what to do I would highly appreciate it as you will save me a lot of time.

I myself have not had this error so I can't help you from my personal experience, but I found some stuff that might help you.

Also, what version are you on, and what device are you using or trying to update to iOS8?

Thanks for your time, I'm running 7.1.2 with the pangu jailbreak. I would like to update to iOS8 that's all. I don't care about losing my data, also my phone seems to get read as a camera which is also very confusing.

Update: After fussing around for hours I plugged my phone into my mac and everything ran smoothly, I now have iOS 8 up and working after restoring my phone.

Good to know you got it working

I guess if you didn't have your mac you could've tried putting your iphone into DFU mode then try to update.
