I dislike the heat sinks on the z97 range on the gaming motherboards which is a shame as I liked there z87 line up quite a lot.

+1 for the Ranger.
Great board, attractive UEFI
Weighty feel to it too which is a good sign of quality.
Can't comment much on the OC, haven't done anything outside of the automatic overclocking (which works well if you're lazy)

MSI's current heatsinks look way better in person than the photo's make it seem. And the MSI BIOS is comparable to the ASUS one.

The ARC Mini R2 looks much more better than the Midi IMO. The Midi R2 is to bulky for my like. However, if you need ATX(?) then I would go with the R4.(It is probably more bulky than the Midi, but it looks like a nice clean refrigerator).

hmm true, I'll take a look at some reviews on it to compare
