Alright TTG I have a friends PHAT model xbox and Have it opened up. The problem it has is the Disc will spin for 2 seconds then completely stop. Any help? should I make a video etc? Thanks.

I am sure you're getting "open tray" on the screen?
If yes, simply replace the laser. If the drive is a liteon or benq, don't forget to remove the static solder ball prior to installation.

I believe it is the spindle motor. Any way I can fix the motor without replacing it ?
