So I recently replied to a post on General Forums.. and well it got me thinking.

If wolverine never dies.. (Or heals if you like)
Then does that mean he can't die of old age either? Because if one of his major organs shut down, wouldn't they just boot back up again?

It's really an honest question/theory I got going on in my head.

He does age and he can die. He just has a really high healing factor. Although not as high as deadpools. I believe cutting of his head kills wolverine but not deadpool.

Have you not seen X-men Origins. He was born wayy before WW1. I'd say the Napoleon war but i don't think that's correct.

Was around the 1880s so a bit after the Napoleonic Wars.

OT - He is not immortal, simply has a massively reduced ageing rate due to the healing effect.

I just googled it. Wolverine was in the American Civil war.

'Snippets of Logan's life in the years leading up to Weapon X are shown in the movie. He is seen fighting a number of wars dating back to the American Civil War, making him about as old as his comic counterpart. The more notable difference, though, is that Logan serves alongside his brother Sabretooth in each and every conflict.'

'The American Civil War, widely known in the United States as simply the Civil War as well as other sectional names, was fought from 1861 to 1865.'

That is in the movies.

In the original comics he was born in Canada in the 1880's
