So I'm not sure who remembers my playlist generator,
Forums/t=6370394/playlist-gen-mus...-v1v3.html
But I've been getting tired of leaving projects half finished. This always seems to happen and I never actually officially get to a "release" version.
So, I've been re-developing my version methodology but more importantly, picking up my playlist generator and re-imagining it.
I'm going to shape this into a full blown music player, called 'Vortexx'.
Now, some features to look forward to.
-I'm hoping to build my own music player, so for the more technological users, more possible features and support. If this doesn't happen right away, it'll be done eventually. The Windows Media player will reduce a ton of development time.
-Music suggestions!
Ex: It'll gather your favorite or most played artists, artists by genre, or all artists and suggest some new music for you!
-Compare your selection in music to other users
Ex:
90% of users like "artist name"
Top ten most popular artists, etc.
-Advanced playlist generator
-Export to different playlist formats
-Try (I really mean try, this will be difficult without one on hand) to get iDevice support
-Automatically detect connected devices.
-Lyric gathering (possible)
If it's requested, you can opt out of this collection, but it really doesn't change anything but collecting your favorite artists, which other programs do more then that
If you have any other suggestions, let me know!
Version System:
Major.Minor.Revision
Major - Release Version, when it deserves a change it receives this
If program is released under Major 1, it's not yet a official release.
Minor - Any major step under a major.
Revision - This is mainly bug fixes, or small additions

At the moment, I'm figuring out how I'm going to store library information to maximize information.

Done
It'll take awhile before a workable version is able to be released.
