If you want to get the iPhone go for it. If I were you I would wait for the Nexus 6 to be released. I wished I had done that.
I just got the HTC One m8, its a very nice phone.

IMO:
If your the type of person that uses a phone to call and text and whats app people, then Id say stick with your current phone or upgrade to a Iphone 6
However, if your a power user, go with an android device like a One m8 or S5
There isnt a best phone as such, its more what you want to do with it and the features that your looking for.
Oh, and if there are any fanboys around, please don't post, You are no help at all.

I would have to disagree on that, My Xperia phone is having issues with the touchscreen sometimes it doesn't work at all and others it registers touches all over the place making typing messages impossible, a friend got a new Xperia and the ear speaker didn't work correctly and the replacement would constantly reboot.

I like my iPhone 6+ but it's all about your preferences, I like iPhones because they're simple to use and I think that iOS just looks much nicer than what android uses (not bashing android just my opinion). And the new iPhones don't bend in your pocket like a lot of people are saying. The 2 best things about the 6+ IMO is the battery life and camera so if you decide Apple and can afford it I would get the 6+
