Sanctyy wrote Lol, okay. Going to school doesn't promise you a "future job: you make money: have a nice home: all that is worth a life time".

In fact, if anything, going to school just means you'll probably go to college/university after school and waste another 4 or so years at education. Then after that, you're not promised a job. Most people who go to college or university, when they finish, find out that in fact, there aren't many jobs. So, yeah. Plus, missing a single day of school isn't going to do any harm, why is that any of your business anyway?

I don't necessarily agree with skipping school for a game release, but I agree with 90% of the people on this topic in the fact that the way they choose to live their life doesn't affect you in the slightest. Mind your own business and live your life. Don't worry about other people and criticize the way they choose to live their lives.

You DO NOT need school to be successful in life at all... Yes its beneficial and can you help get a career choice you want. Let them do them and you do you? Why does it matter to you, if they skip school and play games. Just saying why don't you just focus on you and not what others do?

I mean, it is one day of the year, not like you are skipping massive amounts of school to lay out and play this game.

It is up to the person if they would like to miss a day of school to play the game or not, one day is not going to make a difference either way though.

Ah man, my 7th grade and kinda 8th grade i did this ALOT.
Did it so much it caused me too fail 7th grade and have to repeat it, i still play video games but never in my life will i put video games ahead of my school/work.
I'm a victim and i hope people don't go through the same thing i did it's horrible but hey i'm happy i changed my ways.
I also agree with you guys school just puts you forward into your work in life, it's not completely needed i would say i know alot about the school system and it's all bullshit.
But it's needed to make a living and sadly all of us are going to have to do it one way or another.

Time-Played wrote In my eyes school is 10 times more important then a video game here is what you get out of them

School
You get a future job: you make money: have a nice home: all that is worth a life time

Video game
4 months later I hate this game already: no job: not making any money: still living with your mum and dad

What do you guys think of all this
Your view on this is a bit contorted. Just because you miss school to play video games DOESN'T mean anything. High School seriously doesn't do shit for you. It doesn't. You learn this in college. I've missed 5+ days out of my High School career to attend Midnight releases and other video game events. I'm an A+ student. I graduated top 10 of my class with honors. Your argument doesn't hold water. Plus, once you graduate HIGH SCHOOL DOESN'T MATTER.

Who says you cant do both?
Lots of youtubers stayed in school while they did youtube and only dropped out when the channel started to become big hence granting them income from playing games. If they enjoy it then why not. It would be better for them to play the games get bigger than to sit in an office or something earning next to nothing compared to youtube.
