Yeah I understand, and that is what I meant. Sorry I stated it odd.

But all the bosses in the game are take the same damage from one element or the next.

For instance Pho'goth (summoning pit) takes the same damage from a fire as he would from a void.

This isn't necessarily true. The Psions deal Solar with their weapon and Arc with their special. Just pay attention to the color of their shield and the color of the ammunition coming from their weapons. Some enemies can carry different weapons like the Fallen Captains. Some will have the Arc rifle and some will have the Solar shotgun.

For doing strikes like the weekly nightfall you just need to look at the shield that the creature has around it.
If its purple its weak to void, blue shield is weak to arc, and orange shield is weak to solar.

For example this weeks nightfall has sharks that are weak to solar, captains that are weak to arc, and minotaurs that are weak to void
