I am a huge fan of movies that have twists that you don't expect, so what are some of your favourites? For me, Shutter Island was really good

Have you seen Devil Brad? That has a big twist at the end and is quite a good film.

I also watched a film called "Exam" not too long ago and that also has a surprise ending.

Probably a few others I've seen but I can't think off the top of my head.

These are some of my favourites, obvious spoilers ahead is obvious.
- Fight Club
Twist:
Tyler and the narrator are the same person.

- The Usual Suspects
Twist:
Verbal Kint is Keyser Soze all along. This is probably the biggest twist in cinema history, I don't think anyone saw it coming.

- Buried [I think the ending counts as a twist]
Twist:
Buried alive in a coffin, he's on the phone to someone who says they have located him, he's running out of air, the coffin is collapsing on top of him, you hear the guy on the phone digging, and then the guy on the phone says it's not him and they've found someone else who has been buried alive. Cue sad music.

- Primal Fear [The best executed twist in film history]
Twist:
The whole film you see an innocent Altar boy whose alternate personality is a cold blooded killer. At the end, after he's been acquitted of a murder charge due to his psychological issues, he reveals that the innocent side of his personality was all a sham, and that his true personality is the killer.

- Star Wars
Twist:
Daddy issues, nuff said.

- SAW [1]
Twist:
Jigsaw was the body lying in the middle of the room for the entire film pretending to be dead.

- Se7en
Twist:
John Doe's plan all along was to get Brad Pitt to kill him. How does he do this? He chops off Pitt's wife's head and puts it in a box.
WHAT'S IN THE BOX!?

The Exam did have a good twist.
I do think that the person who plays the Invigilator has been typecast in roles like that though.
He never really plays anyone with a personality other than, 'I'm smart, I know what's going on, and I could kill you quite easily if I wanted to.'
