A 30 watt should do more than fine My $20 soldering iron does the job perfectly.

I think a 30 watt is the max you should go. I used 45 watt in the past on xbox equipment and lifted a lot of pads.

Yeah I use a 30 Watt soldering iron also however I'm planning on getting a soldering station

30 or 15W iron should get the job done.

60/40 solder would do the job, lead free solder is HORRIBLE. don't use it. You'll end up chucking your iron through a window
