You have to mod to level 72 and OP 55. You cannot do this legit. My opinion, whoever mods this high on XBOX is pretty stupid if they play online...
How would that make them stupid?
Gearbox In-courage's modding and hasn't banned anyone for modding so
They encourage it on PC, not on XBOX because of Microsoft's Policy against modding/cheating of any kind.
They still haven't banned anyone for modding borderlands on xbox...
Gearbox will not be the ones banning players from their servers, they'll reset player Badass ranks. And they might release a update that'll corrupt that characters data, its happened on Borderlands 2.
Highly doubt they would reset someone's badass rank or corrupt there save ( sense they could reset a legit player ) and i would love to see some evidence of this
( and if your save corrupt's you did 1 or the 2 1) You messed it up modding 2) your USB is garbage and corrupted the save
Borderlands 2, my save was corrupted after the Pirate DLC was released. Level 100 Maya, played offline away from people with that character. I have 5 USB's, 2 transfer cables and an external HDD used as a storage devices. They all work perfectly fine, sure I've made mistakes modding a character, corrupting them in the process but that's why there's always a backup copy somewhere just for that reason. But that level 100 character, I DID NOT TOUCH IT. Used it to get achievements on the DLC's, that's it.
More likely your talking about when the high modded level's got patched ( i didn't have one myself ) so that's more likely the reason why it was corrupted or it was just a item that made the save corrupt it self think logically

The high level were not patched at that time. There was a backup copy of the level 100 on my desktop, which is back on my Harddrive. I am thinking logically.
