Couldnt believe it, I am absolutely buzzing lol.

I made a new account and lost 6 games online (on purpose) so I had a 0-0-6 record.

I opened 6-7 packs and I got really good players (Marcelo, Aub, Walcott, David Luiz) and on the 8th or so... the gem appeared.

Sad that im going to have to sell him to get him on my main account :/, ill lose about 150k to ea fees.

Don't necessarily need gold - just make a silver account, play some offline matches and quit them all, then you're set to go

It has been confirmed that the worse you are the better pack pulls you get. That is why I see so many good pulls on this forum
