Ive know people who went to university have all these degrees and have a bad job compared to someone who didnt go, this happens all the time. Its not all about grades, although it is good to have them.

If you want to go then do it im just saying you might go and spend all the money and time and not get anything good out of it at the end. This could be different for you of course though. At the end of the day do what you want to do, its your life

My brother didn't go to University or College, instead he learnt to trade - went to countless conferences etc learning how. He's earning a lot of money. He put a lot of his own time into learning this though, you have to be dedicated to it and i'd say its more work intensive (until you get a lot of money) than University.

I'm at University, broke as fk but i will be guaranteed a well-paying job (compsciezpz). I still won't be earning as much as my brother though lel.

University for a good easy 3 - 5years, it's good for the social aspects and having the piece of paper saying you have a BSc, MSc or PhD.

But as MRMURK4G3 says, its yo life bruh, do as you please ada)

It does depend from person to person. Some jobs do require degrees (UK Lawyers and Doctors, for example) but outside of that, it's not essential to have gone to university. Employers have one task when recruiting, to recruit the best applicants. If you're competing with another applicant and you're better than them on paper and at an interview (their only selling point is their degree), 99% of the time you should still get the job.

Companies recognise that university isn't for everyone, especially with rising tuition costs. Therefore, I doubt someone would be highly restricted by going in to employment/other forms of training over a degree.

Finally, if you're not feeling the idea of university and you just do it out of a sense of duty, you may come out with a bad grade, a very very expensive bad grade that may hinder you more than benefit you.

I currently go to university and its the best thing ever! You meet some wicked people and have a laugh whilst learning a subject of your choice! its nothing like college the lecturers are like your mates helping you rather than a teacher ! you can have a beer with them and that too! Go for it mate !

In University now and it totally depends on what you want to do. I'm majoring in Sport Management and want to either be a GM of an MLB team or a sports agent. You're not going to get one of these jobs without a degree.

Now if you're looking to become law enforcement/firefighter/EMT or anything else, some things are more hands on than you need to study. You can study about how to shoot a gun all you want, but that doesn't mean you're going to be good at it unless you have hands on practice.

It honestly just depends on what you want to pursue.

It depends on what you want to achieve. Most manual jobs (as an example) do not require any extensive form of academic achievements. That being said I wouldn't bother applying for a university that is not remotely respected within the research sector. I would say as a general rule of thumb you should seriously reconsider if you're not planning on applying for a Russell group university - or equivalent in other countries.

It all depends on what you want to do in life.

I would say go to a community college for your first couple years just to see if college is for you, this is
what I did and I found out that it was not for me. And instead of being 40 thousand dollars in debt, I
am 5 thousand in debt.

1 year after leaving school, I am working for UPS (for the last 2 weeks) and making ~15 dollars an hour and working over 40 hours a week.

I currently go to University and it is honestly the best thing i have ever done. If you have the chance to go, i would say %100 go for it ! You will make friends for life at University whilst learning about something that you are interested in. Not to mention the parties and nights out ! :pharte:

It really depends on the person. I went to a trade school to be a Microsoft Systems Administrator and I'm getting paid really good money.
