In my opinion:

People just like the the regular gun play. When it didn't matter what perks or equipment you had. Just regular gun-play. But now everyone is expecting hit markers, and is probably thinking as soon as they shoot somebody they will teleport and kill them (exo suit).

You realise I could also go through the internet and find opposing views?

Just because you are dead set on it, does not mean everyone is.

Then explain to me, why else would the sales decline? They were at a very high peak around MW2. Jesus, even MW3's were high. It went too far.
