Royalty isn't the new diamond.. diamond is.

No it isnt, diamond is unlocked by completing all of the camo unlocks for that weapon, whilst royalty is unlocked by completing all camo unlocks for every gun in that class.

Tbh it is easy as it sounds, once you reached those 50 kills w/o any attatchments, you'll get the gold camo, doesn't matter if it's the first camo you unlock. Just saw a guy streaming today and he also got the gold camo this way without having any other challenges done.

You said to get diamond you need to complete all the challenges. Do you have to get royalty to before you unlock diamond.

It means every challenge BEFORE diamond to unlock it. Than in order to get royalty you have to have diamond for every weapon works the exact same way BO2 did it except diamond is a challenge earned camo and royalty is earned the same as diamond in BO2.

Its the other way round, you have to get diamond on all assault rifles, to get royalty on all of the assault rifles etc

in order to unlock gold you need to unlock all the ones before it. so its not as easy as you think

No thats is how you unlock gold on Black Ops 2. To unlock Gold on Advanced Warfare, you only need to get 50 kills with no perks equipped.
