Total basically says it. Other than the bounties what can I do to rank the lvl up? I want the armor and weapons so bad.

If you do the weekly nightfall strike it gives you 500 vanguard rep other then that all you can do is bounties and strikes.

Patrols are fast 10-25 rep each, they're done much faster than the strikes. But be sure to do your weekly and nightfall first.

all i do is bounty's strikes and weekly im level 11 vanguard

I have found the best way to rank up Vanguard is to do bounties. I do every bounty every day. Also the Weekly and Nightfall strikes, heroic story, and Patrol Missions are also good ways. Public events help a lot too. There are many ways, just find what best works for you and stick to it.
