I am looking to make my first ever pc build.
I have a budget of 500GBP and want to run games like DayZ standalone and cs go.
No monitors/os/keyboard/mouse is needed in this budget.
I got my build from a Jackfrags video : [ Register or Signin to view external links. ]
The is the link to the components : [ Register or Signin to view external links. ]
I would appreciate any feedback, has anyone seen a better spec pc for my budget? Can anyone please offer me any advice ?

I took into consideration both of your suggestions. I have come up with a new build.

Note: I would like your advice if the processor used is good. I found that the i5 4460 was too expensive for my budget and I don't think the Pentium will perform good enough. Do you think the processor is the best option for me? I am happy with the other components.

Stick with the i5 because at least you can throw an i7 in there if you want to and not be stuck on a dying platform.

I'll be as brief as I can because processors aren't the easiest thing to get the hang of. Haswell, which the Pentium and i5's are based on have much stronger cores, so even if you had the two core Pentium, in single threaded tasks like general and daily use it would be snappy than the AMD processor. That is because AMD is lagging behind Intel currently and they try to make up with it by whacking more cores which are less powerful.
I'd only really suggest the FX8320/8350 if you needed all those cores for rendering or editing on a budget. The only game I came across that my Pentium struggled with was Crysis 3 maxed out. Also with AM3+ what FX series processors are based, it's basically end of life, which means there is no more development for the platform from AMD and a small trickle of new boards from vendors. You'd have no upgrade option in the future which would be worthwhile, whereas with the Pentium, you could upgrade to an i3, i5, i7 or Xeon part.

Personal Experience
I went from an older FX8120 to a Pentium and I noticed snappier response times in every single task. That's just my opinion however.

You dont even want to touch AMD with a stick.
There is a reason why I got rid of that CPU and went Intel.

Thanks for the information. I have researched the Pentium and have been impressed by the overclocking capabilities. I was just wondering would it bottleneck an r9 280 ? Would it limit my gaming experiences when playing Arma 3/Dayz ?
Is an i3/i5 really better then the pentium, because I might be able to strech my budget for a better cpu. If there was an other cpus you'd recommend then please tell me.

Yes to a certain extent it will, if the game you want to play for example Crysis. A game like that likes to use a lot of resources so it would be held back by the two cores on the Pentium. An i3 will have the same two cores, but it'll have HT which is two virtual cores which the OS can use so performance may be better. None of the i3's can overclock though.
If you can get an i5, I'd say get it.

The only way I could have got an i5 is by dropping the ssd but even then it was still a bit over my budget. So do you guys like the final build? I'm still learning so always open to advice and your opinions. I added another fan because I am hoping to do some serious overclocking.
