So, I didn't get any help really. Only criticism. So I'm gonna out some questions maybe that would help.

1. Theirs a thread how to fix a bad nand. What is a nand and why would it need to be fixed?

2. People talk about xell ( I think that's what it's called) what is this?

3. Another thread topic is how to flash a kv with jrunner. Now I know a kv is your console information but what is flashing it? How do you get a new kv onto your console?

When I receive my console am I able to play online like a regular xbox? Cause I plan on installing a lot of games.. like every single one I can get off of gamefly.

4. What are the mods called? People talk about "patches" or things called "tu12" (or something close to that) what are those.

5. Is creating your own mod menus easy? I see a few posts about them here and there.

That's all I can think of now. I know it's a lot and I may have made a bad move buying this without research. I've just wanted one for awhile and decided to take the plunge and buy one. Thanks in advance.

1] The NAND is a chip inside your console that stores information such as your KV. If you want to replace a banned KV with an unbanned one, you'll need to extract your NAND, use a program on your computer to put the unbanned KV on it and re-flash the updated NAND back to your console. There are always small problems (wont boot up, freezes) that could happen when re-writing the NAND so you may need to look on that thread if you have any issues with it.

2] XeLL is software that all RGH's will have which can be accessed if you turn on your console by pressing the eject button. You should only need to use XeLL if you have a problem with your NAND (explained in question 1) In XeLL you can re-flash the NAND if you have the updflash.bin file on a memory stick.

3] Flashing a KV is basically storing it on your NAND to put it simple as I explained in question 1. If you want more information about flashing a KV, add my Skype: lmSkittle and I can walk you through it. You can only play online if you have an unbanned KV and you have offline files (free alternative to a paid server but KV's don't last as long) or purchased time on an online server (Can't name any here as it is not allowed, just google "rgh online")

4] The "tu" stands for Title Update and the numbers are the version of it, so "Tu18" is Title Update 18. You can google the Title Updates for different games. You wil always need mods/tools updated to the latest Title Update in order for them to work. Patches are old mods for Mw2 etc whereas you only have a "patch_mp.ff" file instead of programs on your computer or ".dll" mods etc

5] To create Mod Menus you will need good knowledge of C++ and you cannot just learn it overnight. You could find tutorials but by no means are they easy to make. You can also create GSC menus for Black Ops 2 that use the GSC scripting language which again is not easy to learn.

Just like to throw out there that NO you can't just go online with it like a normal Xbox. You'll need a method or bypass to get online so MS doesn't detect your console and get auto banned. Don't expect to be online all the time unless you've got a LOT of money to burn (99% chance you won't make it back either)

KVs are generally $15-$20 they last anywhere from 1-3 days (on average) on the free offline file method.

On a sever they generally last 7+ days, but each day on a server is generally $10-$20 a DAY.

If you want to be online expect to be paying $20 a month for a KV and $150+ for server time.

Oh and another thing, copying games like that is piracy and is a federal crime, I wouldn't post that here if I were you.

Lol, I didn't know people still bought consoles.

I bought my console in 2010, rusty old Xenon, still running to this day!

There are tens literally hundreds of tutorials right here on TTG, Just search your problem and I guarantee you will find a remedy or 5.

I think you misunderstood what he was saying, he was asking if you can play online without Stealth etc on regular Xbox Live if you don't use any mods. No, you cannot play on regular Xbox Live at all unless you have a Dual-Nand console which you don't need to worry about.

It doesn't matter if you have mods or not, the servers will still detect you have a modded console which alone is against TOS which will get you banned.
