I would not say I am an atheist. Because I do believe in god. But I do not believe he is the creator of earth and the almighty power in the world. I believe in Evolution. God was just a figure that once lived long ago.

I'm an atheist, which is strange considering I went to church when I was at primary and secondary school.

You might want to rethink that stance.
God, by definition, is omnipotent, meaning all powerful, and eternal, meaning that he has always existed, and continues to exist.
If you believe that God exists but didn't create the world specifically, only that he created the Universe and doesn't care much for what happens within it, then you are a Deist.
That's more of a scientific standpoint based on the fact that an infinite regress seems impossible based on the laws of the Universe, and that a multiverse is still an unproven concept.
@OP: Personally I identify as an Agnostic-Atheist.
Like Heresy said, an Atheist isn't someone who claims to have evidence that God doesn't exist, but to clear up that misconception I say Agnostic-Atheist which outright states it, rather than just implying it so that there is less confusion.

BOISHT wroteI did too but I was forced to which is actually funny. Every time my mom made me go I would wait till it started after the initial song so she wouldn't really say anything and I would just sit in the restroom on my phone till it was over and this went on until I put my foot down and told her I wasn't going which ended up in yelling and then I came out as an Atheist and haven't gone since

I'm an atheist, however I wish I wasn't.
I think it would be nice to think that there is something besides nothing after death.
I've tried going back to Christianity, but I just can't believe any of it no matter how hard I try.

Lavish wrote I'm an atheist, however I wish I wasn't.I'm right there with you. I would love to believe it but at the end of the day science has facts and Christianity doesn't (Not bashing) and I'm not gonna blindly believe anything as profound as there being an afterlife and there not be facts or proof. As the rapper hopsin once said "I'll be D*mned if I put my own pleasures aside for and afterlife that isn't even guaranteed".
