If not that specific computer then get something like it. It can be a desktop or laptop. Laptops sometimes tend to run a bit slower then desktops but they're good for editing on the go if your in a hurry or on a plane. Also if you do get a laptop and do not plan to go anywhere with it for editing, you can always buy a cheap 24 inch monitor for it and get a external keyboard and mouse.( That's what i do ) Also make sure that if you do get a laptop, make sure it meets the requirements that a good desktop would meet.

I guess they could be, but they are just another kind of notebook.... Notebooks aren't necessarily good for editing. If you were to get any kind of mac that can do editing it would not be $325. It would be more around $800-$1200 which according to your post would be WAY over your budget.

Desktops are always going to perform better. I probably can build you a $300 PC, which can most likely run minimum on games IF you decide to play games on PC.
