I want to buy a car. Preferably brand new. I'll be 17 when I buy it, my budget is around 8000-12,000. I want one that won't be overly expensive to insure, around 2000 maximum. I want it to be pretty sporty. I love the look of the Vauxhall Corsa Limited Edition 1.2 but I'd like to know what you guys would pick.

VW Lupo's aint so bad also they tend to hold money a bit better than others.

I my first/still own is a 54 reg corsa 1.1 and it was just under 2k to insure I managed to get it down by a few quid by haggling a little.

Your expectations are pretty high. When it comes to insurance, the fact that you're male will be used against you. You will be a new driver on the road, driving a 1.2 litre+ and wanting a sporty car just assumes you want to go really fast, meaning more chance in an accident.

I would go with a VW Lupo, but if you're wanting something a lot better, your insurance may be through the roof.
