Just got my xb1 and the party chat is coming through my tv and my mic doesn't seem to work, any suggestions?

One thing you can do if you haven't already is update your controller.

Are you using the standard mic that came with your console?

Make sure you have it play through mic not tv

1. Try updating your controller. Start button>Settings>Devices&accessories>controller

2. Make sure you have your kinect mic turned off for voice chat, sometimes this helps if its turned off. Start button>Settings>Kinect>Use Kinect Microphone for chat>off

That should help.
