Ew, that's stoopid. An unlocked CPU with a B85 chipset motherboard? If you have a dedicated GPU, get the Xeon E3-1230 V3. It's pretty much an i7 but without the integrated graphics. If you must get an i7, either get the 4770/4790 or upgrade to a Z87/Z97 chipset motherboard if you get a "k" class i7.

With the Xeon would i be able to overclock? Someone already purchased the motherboard, so i was just going to use it for the time being, and get a better one soon. So with that being said what should i get?

Xeon's aren't really made for overclocking, but with an E3-1230 V3, you won't need to OC anyway? You're not going to overclock with the ECS B85 chipset board anyway. You need a Z serious motherboard with an overclockable CPU.
