You cannot take a development kit online. They connect to a separate service called PartnerNET or PNET. They cannot access Xbox Live like a normal console or JTAG/RGH, that is a common misconception.

Are you fuking kidding me? Please do some more extensive research before misinforming op. To be fair, I don't think any public servers sell dev slots anyway.
