Hi, so I have recently been looking at gaming monitors to buy. I have watched endless videos learning and studying how they work and which ones are better. I play Call of duty and would like to play more competitively but I felt that playing on my hdtv is holding me back. I wanted to ask if it is worth buying a gaming monitor to play Call of Duty on the xbox one. I cant really decide because i see comments on the monitors review that it isn't really worth buying for console gaming. If anyone can help me out please reply. Thank you.

I honestly don't notice a difference between a normal and a gaming monitor. It's all the same, imo.
Edit: just reread it, if it's for console gaming, I find a regular, preferred sized TV the best. That's just me though. I don't know what you prefer.

Idk if the deal is still going on but if not it might be on Cyber monday. They had some great 24in Dell Monitors at Best Buy for $100. I bought 2 on friday and i bought one like 4 months ago for $179.99 so they are definently worth it!! Cheap And Great!!

Some TVs have post-processing that can create lots of input lag and you can usually turn it off. Response time is not very important because 60 Hz displays have 16.7 ms of motion blur no matter what. You can get 21.5-23" IPS monitors for under $150.
