Reliability as in lowest failure rate? Probably a tie between jasper and trinity, but I'd go with trinity.

Of course they're a use. They're just older consoles, and have a higher chance to RROD. I've never had a falcon RROD on me. The only console that ever RRODed on me was a zephyr because I removed the fans to see how long it'd take to heat up.

Anyways, if you're on a budget, falcon is a good console. I recommend rither a falcon JTAG or RGH1, because RGH2 Falcons are known to have bad boot times (but it doesn't matter too much in the end)

I recommend anything from falcon and up. These consoles very rarely overheat. I personally use a jasper

For a starter console, I would recommend using a Falcon. They are pretty reliable for their price ($130). Going for anything higher would be a personal preference. I've had a Xenon JTAG and currently use a Corona RGH. The Xenon got RROD after a month on me, and my Corona is still running.

A Trinity.
I say that is the optimal motherboard.
