Okay so I recently just got a huge Internet upgrade and I'm getting about 50 down and 5 up (maybe even 10 up because my ISP gives us a boost) but I figured it would do well for streaming on Twitch. Then I realized that I need a really good computer to handle and broadcast a stream. I don't know own a good PC unfortunately but I do have a MacBook Air (early 2014 version)

Now I know MacBooks Airs are not high performers by any means but I use it for building iOS Apps and what not. I know a bit about computer but as far as hardware Its not my cup of tea. I have tried streaming to Twitch using OBS capturing my webcam in HD and my other monitor (a TV) that has the elgato preview screen. When it's live, it's super laggy and the top of the picture gets distorted with colors you might see if you cracked the screen.

Do I have to sell my MacBook air for a Mac Mini or and iMac or maybe even a lower end MacBook pro or should I just get a PC strictly for streaming?
