Hello i have a eMachines desktop computer i have had it for about 5 years or so and now it just broke every time i plug in the power cord the fans spin up imediatley evern without a CPU in it. So i thought it was the psu so i bought a 500w and put it in there it came with 24 pins and the motherboard is 20 but the 4 pins on the psu can be taken off so it just fit right in the motherboard. So i plug in the cord and no fans and i was feeling a little lucky then nope it wont turn on at all and i tried the psu first in my other desktop using all 24 pins and it worked fine. But this wont turn on at all i have a enourmous amount of parts to repair anything with it if you guys think its something.'
i just want to get it running here is all the info on it.

eMachines
120 Western digital HD
256 Stick RAM
512 Stick RAM
Telephone PCI Card
Ethernet PCI Card
DH-16W1P Drive
Intel Pentium 4 2.40GHZ CPU

Motherboard VC37GV

Anything you can do for me and ill try it out thanks for your feedback

I'd take out one of the RAM sticks and try booting up with one. If the first one you removed didn't work, put it back in and try the other one. If that doesn't work, it's probably either a mobo or CPU issue which will be harder to single out without a spare rig to test on.
