I know about the better graphics and how most games run a higher fps (i could argue about FPS and the ability of the human eye to process images, but thats for later)
some say the PS4 has more power than the XB1. but here is where i get off. I still remember when many of my friends lost their personal info the in the ps3 hacking years ago that took so much info from so many people. I am thankful because it seems that (Microsoft does get hacked [Lizardsquad]) but they never really to do much more than bring down the service of the console.
I belive that this is due to Microsoft being first and fore most a computer company and can defend themselves against cyber attacks much better.
here is the link to a CNN report about Sony pictures getting pwned hard. I know its movies and not the console.
..but pay attention to "Security researcher Dan Tentler has found that the files are being shared using computer servers owned by Sony's PlayStation Network -- adding insult to injury."

One a general note, hacking seems to be getting more serious that is has in recent years. BUY A XB1 WHILE YOU CAN!

Those were movies that were getting ready to come out of theaters anyways i'm sure credit card information is much more secure than they're motion pictures.

well yes some of them were close to realease or just a few weeks after. but the report did say that some scripts were stolen from some well known names. having a filmmaking background i would just assume that something along the lines of movies would be protected more than a virigin daughter on prom night. you cant kick sony pictures in the nuts any harder than by stealing their upcoming screen plays. If they could get something like scripts and copies of the pictures, then I wouldnt bet that the vital personal info is 100% safe. knaw mean?

If they stole scripts then that does make me question what else the hackers could get a hold of. But it was confirmed the Fury copy that leaked was not directly from Sony or taken from them but just a version of the movie that was synced up with the audio.

Microsoft's security is clearly much more superior as no one has ever stolen xbox users credit card details, yet PS3 accounts were hacked, and i know it doesn't sound a lot but 1p was taken from every account. Now imagine how many people have put there card details into PSN and think about how much money the hackers made... Mind boggling.

Why do you bring this recent hack of sony up if it has ZERO to do with ANYTHING about Playstation? Quit living in the past, shit happens and we move on.

In my opinion the PS4 is still an excellent console in itself. I think i'll be holding onto it for the meantime, if worst comes to worst i'll disconnect from the PSN and buy a PC for online games
