Been in the U.S. Air Force for a couple of years, deployed a couple of times. Theres too much to type of how awesome it is to join any military branch.

If you have any questions about joining the U.S. Air force, how to prepare, basic, what job to pick, just send me a PM.
I do know bits and a pieces on how the Army and Marine life is, but not so much of Navy.

Just do some research man, and have a plan and stick with it, as far as what kind of job, pick multiple ones before talking to a recruiter just in case you are ready to be told that job is full.

I'm ex forces, I left in 2012. Had a great time and do miss it sometimes, it has its ups and downs but I would say definitely more ups.

If you are thinking of joining, my advice would be to do something with a trade. Joining the infantry sounds great but it is VERY boring 80% of the time, you also don't have a lot going for you when you leave.

I did post some pics in the TTG Photo Album : https://www.thetechgame.com/Forums/p=21485520.html#21485520
