the end goal of this is for me and my friend to play DLC zombies maps on bo2 together. i am the one that has purchased the maps, he hasn't. is it even possible for us to play together when i gave him the maps or is something license related going to get us banned?
and also, for my own sake, is it possible for me to redeem his account on my xbox, give him rights to the content, then let him take his account back to his console and download the content from there? if possible id like to avoid him redeeming my account on his console but if thats necessary thats ok. this is the first time I've considered doing this and just want some information, thanks!

Firstly, license transferring won't get banned because it's a part of Xbox's services - people transfer their content to their other account so they don't have to buy it again. Xbox won't know that it's actually your friend.

Now secondly, correct me if I'm wrong, but I'm pretty sure the only way to do it is by him redeeming your account on his Xbox. I may be wrong as I haven't done it in a long while, but I'm fairly certain that is the only way.

thats helpfull, thanks man. so there shouldn't be a problem with us playing together with the dlc?
also, is there a limit on transfers? and say if my friend wanted to give the dlc to another person, could he use the dlc that i transferred to him to give to another person? or would i have to give it to that 3rd friend?

Hmm. It seems some of the policies might have changed from when I did it a few years ago.

Have a read of this.

I wouldn't worry about it dude because my friends and I license transfer every chance we get and no one I know has ever got banned, and some of my friends have downloaded like every single thing off of my friends account. I recently license transferred advanced warfare and I never got banned, nor did my other friend who licensed transferred it off someone else

But have you played the same DLC together? or can you only play while the other person is offline?
