so im having my first filling in the dentist today, and i have never been so scared in my life, i hate needles, and i hate the dentist, any tips to calm down??!

Ask your dentist can you listen to music on headphones while the work is being done.

Thats what i do and i never even realise he's doing anyting until he's actually done.

Don't think about it too much, it will be over before you know it. Also if you don't want to go through this ordeal again just try and take excellent care of your teeth.

take deep breaths it might hurt but remember wants its over its over' so stay calm and try to think of good stuff other than you dentist. Hope this helps

It's not as bad as you think, I got my only one a few months ago and i can't even remember what it feels like. Just block out what is going on in front of you and everything will be fine

I've had many fillings at the dentist.

Even now,I still get a bit scared even though I've had it done many times.

Best thing I can tell you really is that it's not as bad as you think it will be.
