So i built this for my cousin and i need somebody that is experienced with building to tell me how i did for him. Anybody that can do a better build please post below.He does not want a SSD nor does he do mail in rebates. I like my build because even though there is 70 dollars in mail in rebates the base total is just above his budget.So it is perfect. Also if your wanting to build a better computer the case needs to have a blue LED like the one i picked.

Compatibilty notes

Gigabyte GA-970A-D3P ATX AM3+/AM3 Motherboard has an onboard USB 3.0 header, but the Rosewill CHALLENGER ATX Mid Tower Case does not have front panel USB 3.0 ports.

Some AMD 970 chipset motherboards may need a BIOS update prior to using Vishera CPUs.

Unable to verify the Rosewill CHALLENGER ATX Mid Tower Case and the Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO 82.9 CFM Sleeve Bearing CPU Cooler are compatible.

Absolutely horrible for $700. Also, that case doesn't have blue LEDs, it's a blue LED fan. You can pick up blue LED fans for like $1 a piece. Why does he specifically not want an SSD? That's an unusual request.

Far, far, far superior;

Get an OS for free. GTX 970 is slightly out of budget unless you sacrifice performance in other places.

You could get this;

then add 4GB RAM later. It's worth it.

The difference is speed is minimal and some applications prefer timings over speed anyway..

None the less it barley matters also Dual channel 1333 would be faster than single channel 1600 I believe.

He is not using 4GB at start he already told me that. He wants AMD for the CPU only and it doesn't matter if the fan is blue and its not a blue LED its still blue and that's what he wants. Also he doesn't want a SSD i already told him about it but he wont listen.He will change his mind once he starts looking up stuff but until then he is really hard headed and wont listen. Im worried he is going to buy i pre built lol.

I won't help with AMD then. You can just switch out the 4440 for an 8320 though and it'll probably come to around the same price since a decent AM3+ motherboard will cost more than the B85 I suggested. AM3+ is a stupid choice though. Specifically not wanting an SSD is also stupid. As is refusing to buy a case that doesn't include a $1 fan. Refusing to upgrade the PC is, again, stupid since that's the entire idea behind PC's. They are meant to be upgraded over time.

I'd say let him make the mistake of buying a pre-built if he's determined to go with a dead socket, refuse to upgrade and refuse to add an SSD, as well as want a ricer case but I probably wouldn't let my own friend do that.
