B16a2 Turbo Build

Hey TTG!
I've been thinking about doing a rebuild on my B16a because it has been "rode hard and put away wet" The engine is in a EK7 coupe and the man i bought it from told me that the engine was turbo ready but im well aware that there isn't really any way to tell unless i rip her apart. But as it sits right now im planning to take the engine to a performance shop and have them rebuild it for a turbo.
Im looking to find out a few things before i head to the shop so i dont just walk into this thing blind, as im not very mechanically inclined.
what im trying to figure out:
-Whats better for turbo. Low compression or high compression?
-Is it worth it to port and polish the head and sleeve the block?
-id like to hit 350whp with LOTS of Torque if possible. Whats a good turbo set up to run? Maybe 20-25lbs of boost.
good set up of rods, pistons etc.
After the engine is all rebuilt and turbo ready i plan to drop it in a Crx shell! i know i need metal lines and a intercooler and BOV and all that sorta stuff. I have around $8-12k to finish my build and everything else. Can you please suggest some products and setups that would be great for my build. Im going for a Super Fast Daily for late Spring - early Fall. I have no intentions of taking this vehicle to a track. Any help will be appreciated

Do research. google is your friend. Don't do anything unless you know all the information even if your paying a shop you don't know really everything there doing to your car so it you need to know how to keep it reliable.

high compression block, No reason for that much boost. You'd be fine with 9-12psi. Get a head package and sleeved block so it can handle the beating from the turbo. You have more than enough. Stay away from ebay turbos.

so im order to run that much boost you gonna need to reinforce the whole block on a stock block your should ONLY run 8PSI max. 350 WHP is gonna cost more then you think as well. with Intercooler intercooler piping a Cold air the turbo itself a new manifold (yes ported and polished) a 3" turboback lol its gonna cost alot and with shop fees (because lots if it you wont be able to do in your yard) plus a new clutch and possible transmission because of all the power you trying to put out. its gonna cost 10k or more and to run how much boost you want your gonna wanna buy a precision 6262 turbo which is expensive as well.

No way he would need a precision 6262 thats for people going for 500+ hp B16a aren't the strongest but stock block can definitely handle low 300s depending on how well the engine has been taken care of so far and the tune, so much of it plays off the tune but id definitely get head studs if you don't have the money to build the engine. Torque is what breaks b16s but they don't make much at all lol you could make 300 with a 55trim turbo. If i were you id swap in a k series to have fun.
