Definitely get a CPU cooler if you want to OC. Its will help it run at a lower temp and enable you to OC more than you would with the stock cooler. As for which one, I wwould go with the Noctua NH-D14 or the H100i by corsair

H100i will be tight in the case, as it would only fit in the front and you'd have to check that the tubes would stretch that far. Unsure about the Noctua cooler fitting, r00t uses an N200 with a Phanteks dual stack cooler but it does mean some compromises.

If possible do you think you could edit my build a little bit as to which cooler would be best?

If you wanted to stick with Matx - [ Register or Signin to view external links. ]

Mid tower build - [ Register or Signin to view external links. ]

[I hate using PCPP]

in terms of coolers, there isnt much difference between high-end air & liquid coolers.

The Noctua nh-D15 is on-par with the H100I[or near it anyway]

IMO, its up to the user - E.g. if you want looks, go for watercooling but aircooling can look good if you have the room for it.

So basically water cooling and air cooling are pretty much the same thing?

Within reason - yeah.

I mean there are the obvious differences like how big they are, the noise and so on but high end aircooling and liquid cooling are about the same in performance.

Check this out for a comparison [ Register or Signin to view external links. ]

The chart makes it look like a much bigger difference than it really is - its a matter of a few degreese.

You could always go the custom loop option but good luck sourcing the funds for that :2thumbsup:
