this is the error message that i get, im trying to put 2GB of ram into minecraft.

Another program is probably using a large amount of RAM. You don't need 2GB of RAM for Minecraft unless your using a modpack with like 200 mods.

My Minecraft runs on either 256mb or 516mb RAM and it works perfectly. If you think increasing your RAM will give you better FPS, it won't. Even if it did it would be a tiny increase.
