Hey guys, I bought a slim like 6 months after they first came out the 250gb or whatever it is doesn't really matter anyways it's always worked fine for me but recently sometimes when I turn it on it has a red dot instead of green. I googled it and found various different answers relating to what it could be / is. This doesn't always happen to me, I find when it does happen if I unplug it, unplug my headphones, the A/V thingy for my headphones and then unplug the power brick and re-insert it it will usually work again. But I'm worried this might be symptoms of a future permanent failure. Really I don't even play it too much anymore, so it's not like it should be doing this, I got an xb1 as well so I kinda shift between the two. Anyways, does anyone know what might be causing this or the exact cause ?

does it do it when the head phones are unplugged? could be just the fact you have a bad av cable and is giving a red dot like when people use to get E74 error issue with bad av cables. does the console run hot? like warmer then normal? could be gpu issue or need new thermal paste.
