Hi, ever since the day I started gaming my parents utterly hated it. I was only allowed to play for 2hrs a day max and if I was found on for 10minutes longtime Xbox would be taken for a week. This started 3 years ago. This past September I went off to university (Canadian) and wasn't allowed to even take my Xbox one that I had payed for myself with money from my job working on a pig farm. 1 week ago they lost it on me, I had just gotten home from school with a 3.7gpa (economics and finance, pretty hard s***), and they lost it because I was playing for 20minutes to long that night and limited me to only playing 1hr a day. Now today I was playing, only for 40mins, when my mom came home and freaked taking away my one and is not going to give it back at all.
I just don't know what to do, I payed for all my gaming stuff myself follow there rules 95% of the time and don't freak out when they only let me play for so long. I'm at a loss, I was really good at cod Fifa (like top 5k in the world), loved gaming with my buddy from around my area and now..... I'm just done I want to play and love to play, I just can't now. What do you guys think let me know what what you guys would do in my situation.
Thanks

I feel like you need to sit down and talk to your mom and dad. Yes being under their roof means you have to follow their rules, but you bought your gaming stuff with your own money from your own hard work and get good grades they need to also have some respect for your property and for you as a person. Thats the way i see it.

You're saying this on a gaming/technology website, where many members have jobs and still have time to game.
On Topic: It's a bit extreme, I'd agree, but just follow their rules and you'll be fine. Eventually you'll be able to get a higher paying job and move out, and make your own rules :p Just stick it out.

That's out of order, how old are you? I'm guessing pretty old as you're in college and from Canada. I'd move out if my parents where doing this to me. Good luck man!

I have a job tho and am doing excellent in school. I work 60-80hr a week in the summers and I have done that for 7yrs on weekends I work during the school year. In school I am in the top of my classes and I have tons of friends (no girlfriend tho waiting for the right one.) but like I am going to have a good job after school with my degree its 6 and 7 on the highest payed degrees from university and I have a co-op so I'll have a job before I get out of school.
Edit: I'm 19 in school with no debts and a fair bit of cash in the bank( no saying how much but more then enough to pay for a year and a half of school with out needing a loan)

You go to University so I take it you're an adult? If I were you I'd tell them where to stick it.

Move out. If you're old enough to be in college they really shouldn't be limiting you with your own items.
