I'm buying my computer off of iBuyPower, so don't bother telling me to build my own, just please tell me if these specs are good. I've done some research and I think that I've set up a good build, but I just wanted to make sure before I actually buy it and make my investment. I don't want any problems, so please tell me if this is good. If there is something you think I should change, please inform me.
1. What is your budget? $1400 - Comes to $1373
- Budget includes operating system, keyboard and mouse.
- Does this cover shipping and/or tax? Yes. If anyone can answer this question about iBuyPower that would be great. If I don't live in California I don't need to pay tax, is this correct? It says that here, [ Register or Signin to view external links. ] , I just wanted to double check. Also for shipping, I selected the Xmas Intel Z97 i5 which is supposed to be free shipping, but when I add it to my cart it says that I have to pay the $75 on ground shipping.
- This is a hard-pressed budget.
2. What is the PC being used for?
- For mainly gaming, but also multimedia and video editing.
- If it's for gaming, what is your monitor resolution? 1680 x 1050, but I'm not going to get a new one right away.
- If you'll be gaming, what graphics settings and level of performance are you looking for? Whatever looks the best and gives decent fps at the same time.
- What games will you be playing and what applications will you be using? DayZ, Arma II/III, The Forest, Rust, 7 Days to Die, CS: GO.
3. Will you be looking at performing future upgrades?
- Will you ever be using Crossfire or SLI? Yes.
- Are you looking at adding more RAM in the future? Yes.
- Will you ever be upgrading the CPU? Not sure.
4. What are the full build specs? (if you already have one in mind)

If I were to build this, would it be good, I'm not asking about the price, I just want to know if it is a good build.

It'd be alright but very unbalanced. There is no difference between you or them building that exact PC, it's a waste either way.

Unbalanced? Can you explain why?

It's unbalanced because a high end i7 4790k with a mid range 760. Also hyper threading isn't widely used in games, so the sweet spot would be an i5 4690k or something similar imo

It's not good for the price at all, but is an ok at best PC, The GPU is good, but not worthy in a $1400 build, as is the PSU.
As for the CPU, if your mainly gaming with a bit of content creation etc, then the i5 4690K would be a better choice with a better cooler for a dank overclock.
I hate Newegg so here's a PCPP link as to what I would get with $1400

It's a bit over and includes a far better monitor than the derpy res thing you have now.

Other than that, is everything else good? Also would the two being unbalanced affect gameplay? I was also planning on upgrading the gpu in the future.

Now that I've read it, wow. You want to make a wise investment but don''t want to build your own, not happening then. Also;

Terran00bs suggestion is pretty dank for your budget. You could move some things around to get a 4790k in there, maybe, but you won't really benefit from it hugely.
