achieving root access (jailbreak) doesn't cause this. these cases are all controlled but what the user does. Batter related issues are most commonly related to bugs or the battery itself simply dying. by jailbreaking in no way will anyone's phone "fry"

The iPhone 4S in itself is a very slow phone compared to newer products. I would recommend you jailbreak but the 4S will only grow slower and the battery may become useless within 3 months of using it.

Honestly the 4s is older but its not all that bad. Until I got my Galaxy Note 4 I had the 4s and I jailbroke it. Go for it bro. If you have any questions about jailbreaking PM me Ive been using jailbreaks for years

Arkaids wrote Should i jailbreak my iphone 4s or no? Some people have told me that JB will slow down the processor speed, is this true? Lmk what you guys think

I think personally that you should jailbreak the device no matter what firmware you are on since all current jailbreak versions are jailbreakable. The process of jailbreaking devices does not slow them down, that is false information you were given. However, adding on tweaks and things can slow the device down if you get too many going on at one time.
