So I'm simply just looking for opinions on what to do next to further my car build or start a new project. For those of you who don't know, I have a 2014 Subaru WRX STi. All I have done to it is Exhaust, downpipe, uppipe, tune, cold air intake, and wheels. So it puts out good power. Now I have a few options in mind and I want peoples opinions on what to do next.

I've been doing a lot of offroading with my friends lately in there trucks and I've taken the Subaru on some trails and it grips great cause of the AWD but I just lack so much in clearence. SO with that being said:
Option 1: (I know this will look "different" so ignore that factor)
Add King Springs 1.5" Lift
Add 1" Spacers
Add a Light Bar
15 Wheels (Maybe Jeep Wheels or Something)
Mud Tires
Since doing this isn't going to completely drain my funds, possibly roof racks and a very cheap little dirt bike to mess around on the trails with. There's this place only about 20 minutes from where I live that has off road trails and dirt bike trails for miles.

Pretty much create and offroad sedan to have a lot of fun in. At the same time, I've been sliding around in my Subaru a lot lately in the 80/20 mode (80% of power in the rear, %20 percent of power to the front wheels) and I'm falling in love with owning a drift missile. So with that being said:
Option 2:
Hold off on doing anything more to my Subaru
Buy a Nissan 240sx (I've done my homework and I know a solid amount about these cars now)
Build a drift car

There's a few tracks by me that host drift events very often. Now this leads me to my last option of perfecting my Subaru:
Option 3:
Buy Coilovers, sway bars, and endlinks.
Basically keep building a track car.

I don't not have the money now but one of these options would be started within a couple months. I would just like to hear peoples opinions as of now.

Man I am not one for off-roading but I think the first idea would be really cool just for being so unique.
Second idea is probably something that I would lean towards more than anything else.
The 3rd option would be the most expensive if I am not mistaken right? assuming you actually want a real track car and wanna do up your engine unless you are doing more of a handling > more power.

I love the offroading idea man. It would be one of the first STI's I've seen with that setup. But one rock throws you off and your into a tree. At least with the drift missle you can beat the heck out of it and essentially not care. Me personally, I would buy the 240sx and drift that, or put the coilovers, sway bars, and endlinks on the STI and make that your track car, DD, you name it.

I would just hate for you to go offroading in a new STI (which don't get me wrong, thats awesome) but one little thing can throw you off. I took my Jeep rock climbing one day and a rock about the size of my foot threw me off course and into a tree. You don't have to take my advice but thats just my opinion.

Please keep me, us, TTG updated on the STI though man. Love to see what happens. Especially with the drift missile if you go that route.

Well, the cheapest option is gonna be choice number 1 and 3 actually. The drift car is gonna run me roughly 3k. Choice 3 is gonna be a little over 2k (only gonna be doing suspension work really) and choice 1, without the dirt bike, is actually gonna run me probably only about 1.5k. And thats the other thing, if I off road I would hate to wreck the car cause some of the trails get hilly and steep. But we dont go all that fast through it so I'm not too nervous.

I'll definitely keep everyone posted on the path I go. Thank you all for your input.

Personally, I'd keep the scooby as she is and grab a 240sx. It would kill me if I had a scooby and anything happened to and I feel like you run the risk of bashing that baby if you go with option 1 or 3, but with your 2nd option, you're getting a cheaper car and building it for messing about in. Plus, with the 240sx, even though it may get dented or crashed or whatever, you will still have a perfectly good STi.

Just my thoughts anyway.

If the STi is your DD then I recommend not going too crazy with it and pick up a 2nd car if you want to drift/ autocross/ offroad trust me I know from experience and it is not fun asking for rides while you car is getting fixed. That being said if you decide to go the offroad route don't forget to upgrade your skid plate.

Option 2 for sure.

Keep the Subie as a daily and basically keep it how it is now, buy a decent 240 and swap it, drop a SR20 into it or if your lucky a RB25. Have a fun daily and a sweet drift car!
